New Gmail features you need to use now

One of the first things that will catch your eye, in the new Gmail for web, is its new, uncluttered appearance. Aside from a more organized look, the new and improved Gmail features include greater security, easy-to-use sidebar apps and more! This is just a small list of the many powerful features that you should start using now:

Enable Confidential Mode.

By enabling confidential mode, you are able to set an expiration date for your email. After the expiration date, the email will auto delete itself.
In addition to auto-eliminating mail; users have the option to set a password for a receiver to open the message. This can also prevent receivers from copying, forwarding, and downloading the message and all its content.

Assistive Unsubscribing can save you time.

If you’re someone who spends a lot of time managing emails, you understand how time consuming it can be. Spending too much time handling emails can result in a loss of productivity. Thankfully, the new assistive unsubscribe function can help you save time by allowing you to easily unsubscribe from unwanted promotional emails without having to actually open the message.

Snooze your mail.

The snoozing email function is helpful because it reminds you to read or reply to important messages. The snooze button is the clock icon, within an email, and it allows senders to have an email redelivered at either a pre-set or a custom date and time.

Access your apps quickly.

You can now access your Google Calendar, Notes, Google Tasks, and more in a more convenient manner. These apps are now quickly accessible through the sidebar, located on the right-hand side, of your Gmail.

Furthermore, you can conveniently archive, delete, mark as read or unread, and snooze mail without having to check the box next to the mail. All you have to do is hover over the right-hand side of the email line, and these options will appear.

New security features greatly benefit users.

Another new feature that will benefit users is an added security feature that warns them of emails that are potentially dangerous. The warning doesn’t directly state the risk, but it does offer a “Delete Now” button which will allow you to immediately eliminate these dangerous emails rather than having to open them first.

Google only continues to work and transform their services to allow for more productivity. From Gmail's add-ons, to all of the other seemingly minor updates, one thing is for certain...
